Suzhou, also known as the "Venice of China" made for the most picture perfect photos. We spent two days walking next to the most charming canals, listening to old ladies serenade us as we walked by. Suzhou is only a short train ride away from the city we lived in, so it made for the perfect weekend trip. The best time to walk the streets was early morning or dusk because there was much less traffic and you can't forget to ride on one of the canal boats for an hour or two. It is seriously dreamy. My favorite afternoon there was spent exploring old side streets, eating street potatoes, and getting spa fish treatments. Garret is so ticklish and I literally thought he was going to die! The most surprising treat that Suzhou had in store was the Bonsai Gardens within the Suzhou Guihua Park Flower Garden. I had no idea that bonsai trees could be so beautiful!
