An Ode to Rodney Smith - with Heather Nan
Heather Nan has become such a dear friend over the past two years. She has one of those souls that you feel connected to the minute you meet her. Or maybe that is just how my soul felt. Either way. I liked her the moment I met her, and I liked her even more the day she told me she had a favorite bug. This shoot was a concept shoot that she had been wanting to execute for a while, especially after the passing of the Great Rodney Smith. His work is incredible and refreshing, provoking, and just all around really great. If you haven't looked it up you should. Right now. Before you read this post. But come back and read it please and don't just get caught up in Rodney's glory.
Anyways, my sister-in-law Kenna, Heather and I spent the morning shooting in an old school (??) which had amazing windows and light. This is Heather's Ode to Rodney: An Ode to Rodney Smith.
