Below is a proposed rebrand direction for the magazine that elevates the brand while maintaining the integrity of its history.
Atlas Olive Oil, started in 1824 is based out of Fez, Morocco. Below is a proposed packaging rebrand that maintains the companies rich history while giving it a contemporary update.
Khaled Hosseini, an author born in Kabul, Afghanistan is best known for three of his books: The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and The Mountains Echoed. Below is a proposed re-design of his current covers. I took elements from the settings in each book to create the intricate patterns below. Hand cut, they become windows revealing stunning gradients from the sky, inviting the reader to find further revelations within the pages.
Ellen Lupton directed a workshop on sensory design. She assigned every participant a unique scent and requested packaging be designed to represent that scent. Below is my packaging direction for my scent, winter 1972. Medium-acrylic paint.
Bookworm is an app that encourages the use of a libraries vast resources, by visiting the library in person. Libraries today pose big problems when it comes to usability. Long lines, difficult navigation, and impersonalized recommendations leave many people feeling frustrated with their experience at a library. Bookworm seeks to solve these problems by offering advanced personalized recommendations, location based mapping systems, in-hand check out capabilities, and a personal system to monitor the books that you have checked out. Libraries are often behind when it comes to updated interfaces, but we feel that the introduction of the Bookworm app would allow people to navigate their libraries easier and would help them find resources they would otherwise miss.
Adler Planetarium of Chicago is the oldest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere. Unfortunately its rich history has not been upheld throughout the years as its branding has changed. Below is a proposed re-brand that not only incorporates the planetariums rich history and scientific base, but also elevates the brand to the stature that it deserves.
